News: The German subway system has tv's in the cars and for the next 30 days they will be running images for a story called "Berlin Meets NY!" To start off the month they will be featuring my photos. Check it out!
And if you find yourself in one of the cars and see one of my pics I'd be ever so gratefull if you could snap a photo of it for me.
Next up will be wonderful photographer Joe Holmes of www.joesnyc.streetnine.com.
GBSG.
haven't stopped by in a while.... still impressed with your ability to find the intricate curiosities in the mundane world. It's also fun to read people's various interpretations of the photos, trolls and all.
congrats on the nod all the way over in Germany!
it's always funny to see how different people keep their balance on the trains. i've been riding the nyc trains for well over a decade now and i always see someone on one of my trips who handles all of the bumps and crazy turns without touching a thing and it always amazes me.
congrats on the germany thing!
nice photo, i really like it
riding the NYC subway without holding onto stuff is hard, im pretty good at it though
Congrats on the recognition in Germany.
Peace (okay the photo made me think of that)
congrats on getting the nod for germany. and its time for me to leave germany now! sigh! :(
Too bad its not in Hamburg, would have made a shot for sure!
And also congratulations of course,
thanx for another great picture for today;-)
great at capturing priceless moments.
congrats on being featured in the subway of Germany! another great capture of a moment in time. brought back memories of when I used to ride the subway daily while in high school. riding the irt from flatbush to stuyvesant hs on the lower east side and then uptown to mskcc to work after school and then back to flatbush. i used to challenge myself to see if i could ride without holding on. got pretty good at it too.
peace to all too! (i thought the same thing Andrew)
Great photo. I often wish I could reach the ceiling in subway cars, but I don't suppose I'll ever reach those heights. Congratulations on the Germany recognition, that is truly wonderful.
And yes, in the spirit of this phot, Peace!
Fantastic shot.
Haha, this is great. Exactly what I have to do at times. Excellent shot that perfectly conveys what riding the trains can be like.
a lot like markus hartels shot a few weeks back.. i really enjoy this.. great focus for such a dimly lit area.

That's fantastic Travis. I hope some German is able to provide you with a record for your archives.
nice.
peace ya
Let's hold on doubly tight! Nice....
this is a great shot travis...
This guy must be an experienced "subway surfer" which is someone who rides without holding on. I must say in my devilish pleasure that i love watching tourists jump on the subways for the first time and go flying. Always fun as you know it's coming and so does everyone else and no one ever warns or helps keep the person stable. I love NY!
