Manhattan bound F Train. This is the view from Smith and 9th street looking across Carroll Gardens toward downtown NYC. In a moment I'll be on that train tunneling under downtown Brooklyn and finding my way to Grand Central.

I always wanted to ask for permission to sit near the man driving the train in the underground. It should be breath-taking experience. Your theme is very near and dear to me.I commute 3 hours each day and see all kinds of face s there underground - different, interesting, nice, revolting.Women that smell like flowers and homeless smell like dogs.
Today i seemed to meet a gilr i saw yesterday and that's in Moscow.Unbelievable.
Huge city, undeground as veins, pulsating, the world in itself.
What an interesting shot. The jumbled chaos of the foreground and the cool bluish orderly structure of Manhatten.
WOW!! This is absolutely amazing. It's as if the train is a snake entering into the depths of a beautiful concrete jungle. It's really wonderful. That tree in the inset really adds to it too. Great!!!!!
I like that building with the blue top right in the centre-right-ish. What is the name of that building?
Great great! It's strange to see outside in this photoblog.
On it's own, not really a stand out image, but I really like it because knowing your photos I had to search for a second to figure out how it was connected to the subway.
Glorious skyline. It's pure NYC.
This is a nice photo. I like the understatedness of the F train in relation to the skyline. It's like the F is making a cameo spot in the picture but you can't miss it's presence. It comes out and grabs you
I take the F every morning from Smith-9th Sts and I've always loved the view from the platform. It almost feels like if you are on top of the world when you are up there. At night when I return from work and look at that skyline with the glittering lights, it reminds me of how much I love this city I grew up in. It just sucks that the World Trade Center isn't in the heart of this shot anymore, NYC's two front teeth
Great Photos! I'm a native New Yorker living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Always loved the subways since I was a kid living in Astoria, (circa 1960's).
