Grand Central Station ~ 6:10pm

There are a few benefits to living in Queens (ok more than a few benefits). One is when you get to bail off the packed Lexington Ave. platform for a quite 7 train one level down.

Here's an interview I did with the good folks at photoshopsupport.com

UPDATE: A story is running in The Abilene News-Reporter detailing my show that opens there today. (You have to register to see the story.)

  1. this photo has a nice contrast here. The crowded and darker upper level versus the quiet and lighter lower level.

  2. I agree with Eric. The busy top and the calm bottom half make for a great contrast. It made me think of heaven and hell reversed. Not often do you go down to find light.

  3. really great shot - nice catch. one of my favorites of yours.

  4. Great use of counterpoint!

  5. I am a German living in a small Texan town (Abilene) and this photo makes me homesick for Frankfurt U-Bahn. All of your photos could also have been taken in Frankfurt, Berlin or Munic.
Maybe some day you will do a tour of European train stations and you 'll agree.

    Super Love what you do

  6. Excellent subject contrast...especially for a friday...leave that hustle and bustle behind!

  7. Stunning image. The juxtaposition is perfection.

  8. Love the contrast between busy and quiet!

  9. Lovely

  10. What a great two pictures in one. The guy walking alone with his shadow...and the crowded place on the top.

    Nice shot!

  11. this is really nice.

  12. Unreal .... does it cost money to go downstairs? Invalidates entrophy.

  13. Well captured. The solitude is perfect.
