i like how your subject matter is focused on trains, i have a big love of commuter rail. the hands are interesting because they are all different colors, from a pink to a dark brown. and the contrast so well with the metal pole.

I have always found the pole to be a very interesting subject in the train. Everybody holds on to the pole for dear life when the train is weaving and racing through the tunnels. It is a germ infested piece of metal. Yet, it is a the piece of stainless steal that bring so many together and forces us to stare at one another through our out adventure riding the EXPRESS TRAIN.
Cool capture. I love your reflection on this shot. What I find funny is that we somehow find safety and salvation in holding on to that little metal pole. Realistically, if "something" were to happen, that pole would be nothing more than an extra obstacle between my body and the end of the car! Ouch. Nice capture and I'm continously struck by how great the lighting is in your shots.
Wow what a great shot! I would like to see more of this kind of focused study.

I feel that this captures what it means to be defined as a "New Yorker." So many different versions of it, one thing solid that keeps you holding on together. The tight grip of the hand in the center is very powerful.
This photo reminds my of this photo,

hilarious Alfredo!

Yep - this works. Good shot!
Yep, this is pretty good, great motif and framing.
Sorry to repeat comment.
I have seen the Bruce Davidson photo and this one is better, more focused on the idea.
Great shot.
If those were smaller hands, I would swear the kids are playing some sort of game!
