   I used to see that man in the canal street station on a regular basis. Interesting how a face in a photo in a series documenting millions of faces can be one you know.

   hm, i believe that i've seen this man too. but not sure about that. regarding this photograph... i have to say that i am a little confused. my attention is definitely on the man in the middle who is out of focus. only after a while i see the girls face in focus on the right. i think her head is cropped too much. my eye jumps around...

   I ran into the blind man again today (1-19-06). We picked him up at the same station. He did not say a word but walked into the center of the car and stood there. It was weird but no one moved to help him. He stood there riding it out for about 10 minutes before someone helped him get a seat. Even then he didn't say a word. He just sort of folded himself up and seemed to nod off. I hope he was going to the end of the line.
