Recently there was a woman on the train with a Happy New Year crown (a few weeks after the event). She was at the other end of the train and though I really wanted to make a photo there was just no way to do it without causing a major stir. So I stood there and watched from afar without taking a photo. That happens all the time. The other thing that happens is as the train pulls into the station there will be something wonderful happening at one of the doors but that car will continue on down the platform and out of site. So I just hope for the days that the door will stop in front of me, or in this case another crown sit much closer.
Be it known by all - you are allowed to wear party clothes (or tiaras) any day of the year.
You have captured one of those serendipitous moments. It reminds me of a horrible layover in some long forgotten airport. A woman sat down across from me, obviously a business person, nice suit, business case...and flat, comfortable shoes covered in muilti-colored sequins. I giggled inside and as you can see I remember her to this day.
Excellent! I love how the hands and the map frame her and her crown. Very well seen.
i adore this shot. it's pure magic.
Is it just me or has your the color in your phtoographs gotten much better recently. New Camera? New Lense?
I'm still learning how to process images. I'm doing more correction on the blue curve. It seems to help. Thanks for noticing.
Travis! Love, love, lov e this image. We talked about it in my photo class.
