i enjoy your images most every day, but particular ones do stand out, and i have an emotional attachment to them..this one is one like that- the experience of someone leaving and someone staying...the feeling that you need to stableize, to hold the wall for a moment, and then the tension that that particular wall must have been held by so many, as the train whizzed by them, like this moment, day after day.
very nice
You can almost feel the cool surface of the tile. Regardless of how hot the subway might be, the tile would always be some degrees cooler. The tile....the tile...always the tile. Makes me think of all the thousands of man-hours gone into setting it. And some looks horribly dirty, as in yesterdays photograph - and some looks cool and sparkling clean, like today's. Sets my mind thinking whether some stations are better cared for than others. The stations tht serve the "tony" neighborhoods maintained and the others left to their own grime.
Xian - I never thought, until you mentioned it, of those moments when you stop and draw a breathe, before you leave.
very nice...the hand in the foregeound and the person holding the rail on the train is subtle but makes for a an intesting photograph.
Feel the vibe. Love it.
This one's very expressive. I think it stands out from most of your other pictures.

Its amazing how expressive and telling our hands can be. The lighting, the angle, the reflection...everything about this one image is perfect.
