I hardly ever get a good image at Prospect Avenue, my stop. This one hapened so fast. We're all filling off the train like good worker bees and these boys come charging through the crowd trying to catch the train. The one in the middle grabs the door as his gym clothes start to fall to the floor. All this is happening right at the turnstiles. His partners holler for him to let it go and they have a good laugh about the entire scene. I stopped right in the middle of it all and added my two cents to the caos. Good thing I had my music on. I think this all played out in front of me as Ted Leo was rocking in my ears. It was a nice combination.
great shot. you captered the perfect moment and framed it very well with two laughing faces. i admire your subway photography!
all the best!
Great capture. You really caught the emotion of the scene so well, and with great detail!
Did you try cropping it closer so the girls in front framed the guy behind? Might look better, I dunno. Seem to be two ideas: (1) the guy behind in excited motion; (2) the girls in front leering at the camera. Seems like the first one is the main idea to me, the second doesn't add much.
I like the focus on the guy in the back and not the people in the front.
I like the difference of expressions in the foreground vs. the background.
Nice photo.
I don't know how you do it bud. Great stuff.
I think this is my best image in a while. It's just so alive feeling. I do very little cropping. I would say on this site there are three maybe four images that have been cropped. And then it was only to straighten an angle or some other minor correction.
