I love it when a few people in the crowd are willing to look out the window. It makes a very hopeful image. This shot is uncharacteristically peaceful. Thanks!
Such a good exposure in those conditions, and the composition is excellent, the line between the guy in the glasses and the guy at the window... that hand is just perfect too.
What an interesting photo. It makes me wonder what the people are thinking about. The guy standing by the door, the woman looking out the window, and the dude in the sunglasses. I know there's someone photoblogging out their who takes the photo and then walks up and asks people what they were thinking about just before he took the shot. You spend an awful lot of time on trains. Does it ever get old?

What I saw first is that there are two people "in the light"(guy with the glasses and woman in the back) and it gives nice feeling in this shot...
The composition is really great. Even if you had staged it I don't think you could have done better so to find the moment naturally is some coup.
my bad but, I wish I lived in New York.

I like the darkness factor in this photo. It really contrasts with the light from the windows.
Was this taken during the am commute or pm?
The time the photo was taken gives the image a totally different meaning to me.
I love the mood in this one, really cool!
love the dark/light feel to the shot and the guy with the headphones seeming to be hoping for something... or looking forward to something...
very cool
