Riding home tonight I had both hands full with bags of folders, it's tax time you know. I didn't plan on shooting anything on the trip. This lady was quite the site though. I managed to not elbow anyone on the car and got off a somewhat framed image.
Dear Ruski
Again great emotion, such pathos, so alone in such a public space. The picture is so still and quite, even the guy in the foreground leaning on the rail seems entranced and drawn to her.
Just a thought for the overall story. remember the details of the race pictures, those big graphic car numbers. Look for details that tell the big pictures. Also I want to hear the subway and feel the energy of all that mechanical and human physics.
Bravo!
Well caught candid - as usual. The expression on this womans face pretty much says it all - the daily commute is boring for most of us.
She looks like she would rather be anywhere else but there.
Another great shot with the emotion of those travelers. The poor things really do look fed up. Well captured!
I am digging "Lady Astor".
As the others have said, this is a wonderful shot. The lady you have photographed looks lost in another world, far away from where her physical body is. And yes, the man on the left also looks like he's looking at her, trying to work out what she's thinking about.
Maybe.
